Leon Tjipto
CEO
Leon Tjipto graduated from the University of Brighton, UK, with BEng (Hons) in Mechanical and Production Engineering in 1988, followed by a Master’s degree from University of Warwick, UK, MSc Manufacturing Systems in 1989.
After a brief stint in 1990-1992 as an engineer with one of the Singaporean disk drive companies, Leon started Getech in 1992 as one of the founding partners. Getech's initial business was the design and build of simple automated fixtures and machines. In 1993, Leon incorporated Getech Automation Pte Ltd, to serve multinational companies based in Singapore with their automation needs.
In 1995, Leon and team designed the fully Automatic in line PCBA router (PCBA depanelling), used by Seagate Technology in their SMT plant. In 1997, Leon introduced the dual lane automatic in line PCBA router, the fastest in the industry at the time. The first of multiple industry innovations and “firsts”.
Leon continues to lead Getech’s expansion into global markets and other industries. Under his management the company now employs more than 100 people, has a global footprint, and makes automated solutions for the PCB Industry, for Industrial application as well as Pharmacy solutions.

Meng Hong Tan is a seasoned engineering leader with over 35 years of experience in the automation industry. His passion lies in developing innovative solutions that streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Driven and results-oriented, Meng Hong Tan co-founded Getech Automation in 1992, where he currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer. There, he leads a team of talented engineers in designing and building custom automation equipment for the electronics sector. His expertise lies in robotics, automation systems, and machine vision, and he has a proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget.
Meng Hong Tan 's career began at Motorola Electronics Pte Ltd, where he honed his skills as an Automation Engineer. Here, he played a key role in developing and implementing automated solutions utilizing robotics and machine vision technologies.
Beyond his technical expertise, Meng Hong Tan is a strong leader and mentor. He is passionate about fostering the growth of his team and sharing his knowledge with the next generation of engineers.
Kazutaka Hosaka
CFO
After graduating from university, joined Kanematsu Corporation, a Japanese general trading company, in 1990.
Since then, held various positions in finance and accounting, and held positions as a director at several companies.
Many years of experience working in Southeast Asia, the primary mission at Getech Automation Pte Ltd is to utilize these experiences to improve corporate value from an internal management perspective.
